Meet Magnus!
Day 2: Stavanger, Norway
Don’t worry, I didn’t forget about blogging, I just ran out of time yesterday with having to leave for my first hike at midnight (more on that in my next post)! So, here’s my day 2 recap, which was my first full day in Stavanger. I slept so good Saturday night! Whew! Much needed rest, and I probably could have slept all day, but I had things to do!
Now, before I get started on all that I saw today, I’d like to introduce you to my new friend, Magnus! He’s a Norwegian Troll, named after the Norwegian Kings Magnus the Good, Magnus the Blind, and Magnus Barefoot! When I found him, he told me he was looking for a new adventure, so I invited him to tag along with me for the duration of my trip!
Here are a few places we saw today!
Stavanger Domkirke (Stavanger Cathedral)

Gamle Stavanger (Old Town Stavanger)

Breiavatnet (Small lake within Stavanger)

Norsk Hermetikkmuseum (Norwegian Canning Museum)

Stavanger Gardens (all over the city)

Stavanger Havn (Port of Stavanger)

Tons of street art and sculptures

Stavanger is a pretty small town, so I may have covered most of it in one day, but don’t fret, I will have plenty more coming! I’ll have another post later today about my day 3, which includes my sunrise hike to Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock)! You won’t want to miss it!
P.S. I’m writing this post from my phone, so apologies if it comes out in an odd format!
