Snorkeling in Silfra

Hiking and Snorkeling Pictures!

The moment you’ve all been waiting for [and I’ve been dropping the ball on] is here! Take a look at the pictures I received from the photography packages I purchased for both of my hikes and my snorkeling trip! Enjoy!

Sunrise Hike to Preikestolen [we left at midnight to make it to the top in time for the sunrise at about 4:30am – Preikestolen is a steep cliff that rises over 600 meters above the Lysefjord below]

Kjeragbolten [the giant boulder is wedged in a mountain crevasse – the boulder itself sits over 1,000 meters above the Lysefjord below]

Snorkeling in the Silfra Fissure [A fissure between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. The water, a balmy 37 degrees, is crystal clear due to being filtered through underground lava rock.]
